I had recorded this episode on my DVR and watched it today and I just wanted to point out a typo. The recipe calls for 1 cup packed light brown sugar and it should only be 1/2 cup, plus Ree just added a little more because she just likes brown sugar. It only says 1/2 cup granulated sugar and it should actually be 1 cup granulated sugar, divided, since 1/2 cup goes in with the cherries, corn starch and almond extract and the other half goes in the crumb mixture. I haven't made this yet, but I'm looking forward to making it this weekend and I already know it will be worth all 5 stars. I have made several of Ree's recipes and they have all been great and I just love her show. Keep up the great work.

Very tasty. Had to make adjustments to cornstarch after making first time. Some of cornstarch sunk to bottom and took longer than recommended bake time to dissolve/thicken fruit.

This dish was easy to make, however it was super sweet and the crisp didn't crisp. The crisp just kinda melted into the dish (I used individual ramekins. It also left a layer of melted butter on top. I love the idea of the quick and easy baked fruit crisp for dessert but will use a different recipe next time.

I am making this tonight for company. I took a little taste beforehand, and boy, is this good! I used sliced almonds instead because I did not have any slivered ones. As one reader said, the almonds and extract make this! I'm glad to know that I can make this any time. Ree's recipes are right up there with Ina!

these were too sweet for me. And in case you are wondering... no my cherries did not have any sweetener in the bag.

Made half recipe with blend of home frozen strawberries and wild black raspberries. Added the almond oil but had no almonds for topping. IT WAS SO YUMMY that I will make it regularly with a variety of fruits.
