My boyfriend loves chicken fried steak but I was never able to get it crispy enough. Well this recipe takes care of that - I've made it countless times and it turns out perfect every single time. If it wasn't so fattening we'd probably have it more often than we do but it's worth every calorie!

This is very yummy! We tried this tonight with the corn/red peppers recipe and the twice baked potato recipe she has. SO GOOD.

Loved it! My husband and I usually go a bit more gourmet when we cook but the recipe on her show looked too good to resist. Added some hot sauce to the wet ingredients as some comments suggested. The whole meal was amazing. Yes, it is fattening but why work out if you can't indulge once in a while? Love your show Ree! Thank you

I cooked this recipe for dinner tonight. It takes a little effort to get my 16 year old son to eat anything outside Asian recipes and rice. He LOVED it! It had the right amount of seasoning. This will be one of the recipes I will print out and place in my book. Thanks Ree!

I live in Sakhalin Island , Russia , for my husbands work. The beef there is so stringy , and tough. I took The Pioneer Woman Cookbook , back with me to Russia from Texas, and the first recipe I tried was the chicken fried steak. I tenderized the beef with Adolfs, and a bottle (beating it. It was so yummy. It made so much we had leftover for two nights. We ate it the same way the first 2 nights, just heated it in the oven. The 3rd night, I made tortilla wraps with it, with cheese, ranch dressing and veggies. It was delish!! My husband asked for that recipe to be put on the monthly rotation of meals.

I have tried making chicken fried steak before and nothing beats this. My family loved it and wanted more.

I made this and YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY! In the tummy!! I especially liked that you didn't have cornmeal in the coating mixture! Will be using this one again! Thanks!!

This was good and the best part is my family ate it and said they would eat it again in the future which is sometimes hard with little kids! We don't fry much around here but it was a nice treat.
