I can't seem to understand why people change the recipe to the extent that it has little to do with the original and then comment/review. Really good dish with no changes. Thanks!

I started out making this years ago with turkey. I usually add a can of cream of chicken soup and maybe a can of cream of celery soup. I also add a jar of pimentos and sliced mushrooms. Salt & pepper to taste. Maybe a little more cheese. I like the cheese! That, hot bread and a good salad is all you need. I haven't met anyone that doesn't like this dish.

It was okay... I was really looking forward to this recipe, but it just didn't taste as good as it looked. I followed the recipe to the que and it didn't really impress me.

I made this for the second time last night and I added a can of Rotel and used Velveeta to give it a 'Tex-Mex' spin. Everyone loved it. Great recipe.

Great comfort food for our family of 7! I didn't have shredded sharp cheddar so when it came time to add the cheese, I melted about 3/4 lb Velveeta cubed in a skillet with about 1/4 of a cup of the reserved broth then added to my mix. I took another's suggestion of adding Panko on top..turned out very well! Thank you for such a great recipe!!!

This recipe is perfect in it's original fashion and perfect with added and omitted ingredients. The flavor is in the sauce and fresh veggies. The cheese completely melts into the sauce and they become one. Also, my teenager made this at home alone using only the microwave and it was great. He used ground turkey breast and added a tiny bit of mustard. With sourdough bread...it was delish!!!! Ree your recipes are just fantastic!
