I think I did something wrong... I usually love all of Ree's recipes but this one did not turn out well. I followed directions but my cookies were very dry. I might try them again later but for now sticking with my usual recipes.

I have both of Ree's cookbooks and use several of her recipes regularly. I followed this recipe to the letter. My grandsons (age 14 & 11 said they tasted like dirt. They liked the toppings, not the cookies. I ate three with diffrent toppings and the toppings are the best thing about them. I will use the topping idea with my old stand-by chocolate cookie recipe.

Yummy cookie. Made them as directed in a circle shape. Used a spoon to cover top half of cookie with chocolate. Topped with crushed almonds, crushed peppermint M&Ms, and crushed Heath bars. Took them to work and everyone loved them. Very nice presentation.

These are not very sweet so you need the chocolate to enhance the flavor and sweetness. I assume that is the reason the cookie isn't very sweet because if was, the chocolate would make too sweet. They were very good and obviously not intended to be eaten without the chocolate. I found the cookie to be delicate and some broke while dipping. I would say that maybe I didn't cook them enough or maybe they were too thick. This is definitely a keeper. They were not too salty as I also use kosher salt. I made the recipe exactly as is. I really like this show!!

These were delicious! Those saying that they were too salty, you should be using Kosher salt, NOT table salt when baking. That's what I've always done anyway. I love you Ree!

This is a fabulous cookie recipe! I made large rectangles just as Ree did, dipped only the TOP half on the face side only in the milk or white chocolate. As toppings I used toasted slivered almonds, shreded coconut, chopped pistachios -added a bit of green food coloring for drama, crushed toasted pecans, mini M&M's, white sprinkles on the milk chocolate, and chocolate sprinkles on the white chocolate. Spectacular! It made the most beautiful tray for a party. Everyone commented that they had never seen cookies like these. (And soo delicious, also

I made these with my Daughters for her Birthday Party and they look delicious but to me tastes like cocoa and were very hard to roll out . The toppings were good lol
