This recipe was bland and disappointing. I did not know what was several drops of Worcestershire Sauce or Tabasco Sauce. The writer should be more specific. But on the whole my family was disappointed with the recipe. It simply tasted like chicken wings dipped in hot sauce. It was missing something ...

I made both these and Ree's Asian wings for the Super Bowl. As with the Asian wings, the sauce on these hot wings was great. I added a little extra tabasco and the sauce was just delicious. I was, however, disappointed with the wings themselves. I brined them overnight, so the meat did end up incredibly moist. But frying them did nothing. I made sure to dry each wing very thoroughly before putting them into the hot oil, but the skin did not crisp at all. The skin, even after frying and baking, was flabby and we ended up peeling it off. I will use the sauce recipe again, but definitely not the technique.

These are truly the BEST wings we have ever eaten! Even BW3's wings can't compete. I made the wings, sticking to the recipe with the exception of using canola oil for frying--instead I used peanut oil because that is what I keep on hand for vegetable oil--it is a great oil for frying and it took nothing away from the flavor of the delicious sauce. The heat level was perfect for both my heat-seeking husband and for me-I tend to be a bit more timid. I made sure to use the "right" Frank's hot sauce and the wings came out perfectly!! Thank you so much, Ree for another fantastic recipe!!

The wings were great!!But the blue cheese dip was not the same as the show, which is what I wanted. Everything else was perfect.

this is a very simple recipe to follow. i really enjoyed making it. it is great for those get-together occasions @ home! but beware of the sodium contents of the sauces. otherwise, great recipe, great taste!

Family loved them! A little messy. I don't usually like to fry things because it is so messy. BUT I will make them again!

Actually, I would give this a 10 star!! These were the best wings I have ever had! They were so so moist and tender and the heat was just right. While making the sauce and tasting, it was very vine vinegary and I thought of adding honey or agava to balance, but decided to follow the recipe. I think baking it in the sauce was the key to these delicious wings. For the blue cheese sauce, I used a Danish blue cheese, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, salt an pepper and it was a perfect match for the wings. Great recipe! I will definitey add to my favorites.
