I gave only 3 stars because this recipe should have come with a SUPER HOT warning and did not. After all, the base of this is cayenne sauce! I don't like wings, but I decided to try this for my teenage son and his buddy. As always, I altered the recipe a little. In my version I added 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp. chili powder, 3 squirts of honey and about 10 springs of cilantro (finely chopped. I had purchased Frank's Extra Hot (cayenne sauce. Three pounds of chicken wings made about 30 wing pieces ( a little over this recipe, but there was plenty of sauce I fried them in about 1/4 inch of standard vegetable oil versus deeper canola. In a nut shell, these wings were OFFENSIVELY HOT! My poor boys' eyes watered and nose ran and they turned red in the face. I'm going to try again with a milder sauce as it was almost painful for the boys to eat and that just doesn't work for a memorable dish [unless you want to remember that pain LOL]

I tried this. It was awesome. I tried the chicken both baked and fried. Both were great. I made the recipe as posted. Summer is coming, I can't wait to try this out on the rest of the family.

Great recipe. Might skip the frying next time to make it healthier.

Finally! A wings recipe that works deliciously just the way it is written! Yahoo! I like hot wings and have tried for some time to make a great plate of them. All the others failed. But this one, it wins! Thanks for a great recipe. I'll be adding it to my favorites :
