About halfway through preparing these meatballs, I realized I was preparing meatloaf in the form of meatballs! I have never used quick oats in meatloaf before and I thought it made them soft and tender. It was a nice change from breadcrumbs. I added a grated garlic clove to the meat mixture because I was worried they would be a bit bland. I also doubled the amount of sauce because it didn't sound like a lot but ultimately felt that I won't need to do that in the future. Too ketchupy. I thought it was a bit weird that the recipe didn't call for an egg though. I was worried they would fall apart while I was browning them but I made them in the morning so they were in the fridge all day. They stayed nice and firm. All in all, a good recipe. But if you don't like old-fashioned meatloaf, you probably won't like this recipe.

These were not that good, my family and I ate them but no one wanted seconds, they were just a different taste than what we usually eat.

Exceptional meatballs. I doubled the amount of sauce but made exactly as recipe stated. I made the night before and baked just before dinner. I also made Pioneer Woman's Mac & Cheese and Baked Corn with Red Bell Peppers for dinner. Perfect combination. We had as a dinner but you could easily make smaller meatballs and serve as an appetizer. Super Yummy. I absolutely will make these again. Very easy to make too.

Oh my gosh! These meatballs were wonderful. They came out perfect and looking just like Ree's. I thought there was plenty of sauce. I made Ree's Creamy Potatoes to go with. This meal was one of the best meals I have ever made. Very easy to put together. While everything was cooking in one oven, I did all the dishes and then sat down to dinner. Very simple and delish!!!

My two-year old son and I love these. My husband said that the sauce is kinda sour so I eliminated the vinegar the second time I made it. I also added a tablespoon of yellow mustard and a tbsp of soy sauce. Yumm! Will make it again. Thanks Ree!

These seemed very soft, but after 45 min in fridge did roll together... Next time I'll make them a little smaller (I rolled around golf ball size. Very soft texture...even better the next day re-heated and served with mac and cheese! Love the oatmeal. Could use more sauce.

These were very good and a nice change of pace from italian meatballs. I did not refrigerate them for the entire time suggested and so some of them fell apart in the pan. Next time I woud refrigerate longer before frying and baking.

I am not a big Pioneer Woman fan. In fact, after checking her cookbook out from the library, I felt that I had a better recipe collection than this gal. So, I am surprised that I was so inspired to make these meatballs after seeing the demo on her food show. I am glad I did. These were really a nice change of pace, from the regular Italian style. I love the final product. I am a tough critic too. If you have ever tried Alton Brown's baked meatballs, then you will know, that they set a very high standard. His balls are my go to recipe. However, I am sure to make these again. And like she advertised - they are a perfect potluck dish. This is a keeper.
