OMGracious, Ree! This is over the top on easy and yummy! (I just hope my jeans fit in the morning!

For all of you cooks out there: This is a very easy-to-follow recipe with simple, easy-to-find ingredients, but it is not simple on flavor! Take a chance and make this one...it is worth it!

Great Chowder! I used milk instead of Half'n Half and low fat cheeses. The only change I would make is cooking the bacon to 'crispy' then add to onions.

Saw this recipe on tv yesterday and decided to make it for dinner last night. I added more bacon, cumin, Penzy's Arizona Dreaming seasoning, garlic and shrimp I sauted in garlic olive oil, the Southwest seasonings worked wonderfully and adding the shrimp made it more of a full meal. It was a huge hit with my husband and daughter who both filled their bread bowls twice. We all just ate big bowls for our lunch today! Now I am making the Mint Chocolate Truffles from the show, I am sure they will be a hit too!

Very, very good flavor!! Especially using fresh ingredients and no short cuts...although it took me way longer than 15 minutes to prep. Will definately make again.

Very good soup, I added some carrots to the soup and I think adding some chicken would be good also. Definitely will make this again. My husband raved about it

The soup was tasty and easy, but was a bit on the boring side.

OOh YUM! I made this for supper! It's ironic that this was on todays show, because I was going to make this tonight anyway using my staple recipe! I went with this one though! Changes I made: I used milk, not half and half and used just monterey jack cheese.I also added red pepper flake and garlic powder. I had 2 leeks in the fridge I needed to use up, so I threw them in there too along with LOTS of fresh ground pepper. Also, I used 2 cans of drained corn instead of fresh. This might be my new "staple" when it comes to corn chowder! Thanks Ree! :

Was making my shopping list as I watched and decided to go for it. It's just me so I cut the recipe in half-wish I hadn't! Delish! Next time I will dice the peppers smaller, maybe a dash of hot sauce. A keeper.
