I just made this chowder and love it! Its very creamy and satisfying. I cut back on the amount of peppers to about one whole; using half red bell pepper and half yellow bell pepper. I'm glad I did. Personally I wanted the corn and cheese to come through and they do! Like others, I also used frozen corn. Simple! Highly recommend you make this. Its perfect for a rainy day or a really cold wintery day! You'll be glad you did. I'm sure this will be a family favorite for a long time to come! Thanks Ree! :

This was a very good chowder. Never made chowder before, but this was simple and pretty quick. We made this spur of the moment for Sunday lunch after church, used the corn we froze from our garden this year and I already had all other ingredients. My husband loved it and both of my boys enjoyed it too! Will make again! Thanks for sharing.

This was quick & easy. I did saute everything in the bacon like other reviewers said. Also, next time I don't think I will use that much half & half as it wasn't needed. I added a pinch of cayenne. My husband loved it, but not my 4 year old (he's very picky though. I will make again!

This soup is amazing! If you're using a dutch oven - I did - make sure to scrape off the little bits of goodness that get stuck to the bottom of the pot!
I don't eat pork, so I added extra bell peppers, and a tad bit more flour - and it was amazing!
At the end, also add a little bit of cilantro and parsley, and you'll love the outcome!
Welcome done, Ree!<3
