I almost missed this. I just happened to catch the very end of The Pioneer Woman show and decided to visit the Food Network site for the recipe. I'm glad I did. My family loved this recipe. I have a member of my family that is unable to eat food that is even the smallest amount of spicy (pepper jack cheese. When it was almost done, I put half of the soup in another pot and added the pepper jack cheese. We'll definitely have this again.

I discovered this recipe about a month ago on The Pioneer Woman Cooks website. I love all of Ree's recipes, but this has easily become a family favorite. I tweaked it just slightly, by frying the bacon first and cooking the veggies in the bacon drippings. I also used a bag of frozen corn instead of fresh corn and veggie stock instead of chicken. This will definitely be a regular dish in our home.

I love the Pioneer Woman, I made the corn chowder and added chicken. My family loved this soup. It was as creamy and delicious as Ree said it would be. I made a bigger batch and just added more flour, half-n-half, and a can of cream of chicken soup, it was divine, I strongly recommend this recipe to any one. I served jalapeno cornbread with this and it went well. Super easy to make.

Are you kidding me?!? This is so easy and so delicious. I made it last night. and woke up at 3 A.M. warmed it up and had 2 more bowls. Unfortunately my wife caught me and I had to dish some up for her. I didn't want to share.

I saw this on the show yesterday morning and decided to make it that afternoon. WOW! It was wonderful! I added 2 seeded and minced jalapeño to the peppers and it gave it a little kick. It was a great warm up to my crock pot chicken tacos.

I crisped my bacon first, removed it and set aside. I then added the butter to my bacon drippings and cooked the onions etc. I used the crisp bacon and some of the scallions as garnish in individual servings. Fabulous
