I have been making a similar mashed potato dish like this for many years. I add garlic powder and the cream cheese with chives and onions. I sometimes also add shredded cheese at the very end of baking.

Way too much butter, cream and cheese for the amount of potatoes in the recipe.

This recipe is amazing and so, so easy to fix. It's great made ahead and reheated when you need to feed a crowd and just as delicious made fresh. Pioneer Woman is the BEST new program on Foodnetwork. Way to go. We love ya Ree!

This dish is SO delicious and the perfect comfort food! I am no longer allowed to attend family events unless I agree to cook this dish. I made a reduced fat version and just substituted reduced fat or fat free for the full fat version and it STILL tastes delicious!

I havn't tried these yet as it is too hot to use my oven right now. I love Mashed potatoes and can't wait to try these, they look so good. I am wondering, instead of using heavy cream if I can use evaporated milk, undilated instead.

To those who complain that the recipe is unhealthy-don't make it. You don't have to eat this way EVERY day. Just nice to have some good comfort foods maybe for a weekend dinner or special occasion. I'm looking forward to watching Ree's show. Welcome to The Food Network! Looks like it will be a fun show to watch.
