Thanks for the great recipe. They were very rich and creamy. I made the mistake of adding salt to the water when cooking the potatoes. (As I always do Turned out a little too salty, but is a keeper. Just adjust my mistake.

These potatoes are wonderful! I've been making them (from the PW Cookbook and everyone loves them. In our busy family of 6 it's great to have things I can make ahead and then pop in the oven when I'm ready. Thanks Ree for a great dish!

I have been making these mashed potatoes of Ree's for a while now, and they are a must for our Thanksgiving dinners. If you are freaking out about the butter content, get over it, it is for 5 POUNDS of potatoes and feeds TWELVE! Plus, butter is delicious. The cream cheese, though, is the most important part of the recipe and makes it oh-so-delicious and special.

Deeeelicious! And so great for times when you need to make things ahead. Ree, your cookbook is one of the best in my large collection, and I am so pleased to see you on Food Network.

These potatoes are incredible. I've made them in the past (they've been on her blog for a while and I always get rave reviews. I do things slightly differently, however. I use one stick of butter substitute instead of regular, I use FF half and half instead of heavy cream, and I use 1/3 less fat cream cheese. They get mashed and served immediately instead of being put in the oven. Decadent with a few less fat grams and calories than Ree's original.
