So ok it isnt so "caramely" but who cares, it is sooooo good! And soooo easy! This is my first time making a topping sauce like this and believe me if I can do it, anyone can.

i tried what i think of as a more traditional recipe for making carmel sauce, but it didn't work out well. this one came out perfectly! brought it to a family dinner to put on ice cream, and my very capable cook of a brother-in-law thought it was delicious. this morning, i figured it deserved to be added to my cup of coffee: it will definitely be made again.

Very easy to make. I decided to tweek it some so that my husband can eat it. I used Splenda Brown Sugar, Sugar-Free Coffee Creamer(any flavor; used Hazelnut. It turned out Great!! He loved it and along them my friends when I gave them some. They didn't know everything was Sugar-Free.

Absolutely delicious and very fool proof. It tastes just like the Carmel at the bottom of the Carmel spiced cider from Starbucks! I ended up putting it the bottom of my cup of my apple cider. I used it today on vanilla ice cream with some crushed pecans.

Great recipe and could even be personalized with chopped candied ginger to add an interesting dimension to the flavor. Just had one problem--too much vanilla. Thought it might taste better with half the vanilla or even just a teaspoon. Will definitely make it again!
