Very sweet and rich! Went perfect on top of desserts. The simplest recipe for caramel and one of the most delicious! I followed the recipe exactly - the sauce thickens as it is cooling in the pan.

I am so disappointed. I stood and cooked for 15 minutes. Turned it off, walked away. Came back and cooked for another 15 and never got it to thicken. Using fresh organic ingredients. I really wanted this to be good.

This is a fantastic quick sauce if you're in the grip of a turtle sundae craving! Easy, tasty, perfect drizzling consistency. SOOO much better than the stuff in a jar!

Ree; I really liked this sauce, and especially using it over apple pie. Who would have thought. Thanks Marie

My husband loved this recipe. I made the pie but with apple pie filling, then drizzled the sauce over it before serving and my husband ate most all the pie and all the sauce. I love this recipe also. Thank you Ree.

I was a little skeptical about this recipe, but I wanted a quick caramel sauce for over ice cream so I tried it. It tasted more like butterscotch than a proper caramel but it was really delicious warm and after it had chilled. Very quick and no chance of burning it like a traditional caramel. It won't replace homemade caramel sauce but I will have this recipe handy if I need a quick sweet sauce. Nice job, Ree.

This was good and fairly quick, though I did have to double the time ( cooked about 15 min. to get it to thicken at all, and I did add about 1/2 tsp. salt for more flavor. I make a brown sugar shortbread cookie at Xmas and this sauce actually tasted more like that cookie than an real caramel, which was disappointing, but it was still pretty tasty over ice cream. And it made my house smell like Xmas in June!

I'm surprised I didn't go into a diabetic coma. It's EASY that's for sure but good grief it was sweet. And I LOVE sweet, but this was over-the-top.
