    We have been making Egg in a hole forever!! But....we call it....Birdie in a Nest!!! They are yummy!!!

    Have been making this for years. Only difference, I always butter both sides of the bread first then place in skillet. I cook the hole at the same time as the egg in the toast, that way you can place a dollop of strawberry jam on the fried hole for an additional treat

    Over 50 years ago my Grandmother started me cooking with this recipe. She called it a "Bullseye." It was so easy to make and one of my favorites. I've started my grandkids with this too as soon as they are tall enough (with a stepstool to reach the stove. Hard to mess up, confidence building tasty breakfast.
