We LOVED this apple pie! I haven't made a homemade pie crust in years because they never turned out flaky enough but because I absolutely love Ree I decided to try it. The crust was so amazing, buttery and flaky. My husband usually leaves the crust on the plate because it just doesn't do anything for him but he raved about this one!!!! I will never make another pie crust again but Ree's!! I did have leakage but I think that's a personal problem! I will make this again and again!

Unbelievably easy and yummy. A little sticky yummy sauce leaking was a small price to pay for this amazing pie. Only change was the addition of a half teaspoon of cinnamon (because I can't have apples without cinnamon. Ree, I love you! Thanks for sharing.

Ohh So Gooooood! Follow her directions, don't add the extra apple (as I did just for good measure. The fact that I had a blow out on 1 of 2 pies was my own darned fault! I used the Pillsbury roll out dough (I know, don't want to hear it and threw it together in 5 mins.
    YUMMMMMM Ree Rocks

I had NO problems whatsoever with the filling leaking. I refrigerated the pie crusts before rolling out, only for the length of the time it took me to slice and prepare the apples. The crust was wonderful and flaky. Eveyone loved it. I will be making this every weekend.

Delicious, but yes it was a mess. The pie filling leaked out onto the cookie sheet! How can I avoid that next time? Maybe I will try a pie plate. My husband was over the moon, though, he loved it. And the crust was perfect!

The first time i made this it tasted great but was a hugh mess. I have made it a second time using a 9" glass pie plate and it turned out great without the mess.

This was so simple and so good, even my husband who doesn't like apples tried it and said it was so good.

Was so excited to make this after seeing it on the show as I have tried some of her other recipes that were delicious. But this turned out horrible. The filling leaked all over my pans and bottom of the oven leaving a burnt sugary mess. The "crust" did not bake at all it was still doughy. I followed both of the recipes to a T and it still did not turn out right.

Made this tonight! OMG it was so yummy! I ended up using all the filling in ONE pie! As there are only 3 of us in our home. BUT it was still so delicious!

Excellent dessert Ree!....definitely put it in the fridge to chill before using like she did on the show. Makes a wonderfully flaky crust. Made this with Apples and did a 2nd with all berries (blackberries, blueberries and raspberries. All 4 got raves. Had some juice leaking with all but put the crusts on silpat sheets to bake so was easy to just scoop the thickened juices off the silpat before they started to burn and back into the pie half way through the baking process......just know to be careful next time with cracks in the dough around the edges. I would even double the dough so that you can make bigger circle of dough to fold up over the fruit next time. Don't miss the caramel sauce from the show either.....it doesn't print out with the recipe but its KILLER with the apple pie and so easy to make.
