I tried it. Followed all directions. Looks just like the picture. It was awful:( The only good part was the easy caramel sauce you put on top. Sorry but this was horrible.

I've made this twice now. It's fabulous every time. DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS WITHOUT PUTTING PARCHMENT PAPER OR A SILPAT ON YOUR COOKIE SHEET.
It will run over as every apple pie does and cleanup is a cinch plus it slides right onto a serving platter if you loosen the bottom with a wide spatula. GREAT RECIPE AND SO EASY.

Wow! That was an easy recipe and it turned out WONDERFUL!! I made half apple pie and the other crust for blueberry pie. Both turned out great. I'll certainly use this pie crust recipe again and again! Thank you Pioneer Woman for such wonderful shows!

This recipe was so easy even for me since I do not like to make anything that has more than 3 ingredients and besides, my husband does all the cooking anyway. By the way, the pie turned out delicious! I absolutely love the Pioneer Woman. Her recipes are simple but oh so delicious!

I love, love this recipe. I don't make pies much any more because it's so time consuming, but you can whip this up on the fly. I rolled it out on parchment paper and just lifted the whole thing on the baking tray. Clean up was a snap. My family loves it, too. Also did one in blueberry which was as delicious. Peach is next! Crust is extra delicious. Try it, you won't want to make a traditional apple pie again.

This tasted SO GOOD! I absolutely love the crust and am going to use it for other recipes because it was so tasty and easy! The only thing that went wrong was that the apple goo leaked out of crust while it was in the oven. I would probably either roll out the though not as thin, or drain the apple mixture. I paired it with her easy caramel recipe and they were a perfect match!

I could not wait to try this recipe when I saw it for the first time on June 3. It was absolutely wonderderful!!!! I am enjoying all the recipes from the Pioneer Woman and find her a delightful addition to the Food Network! I can't wait to try that pulled pork recipe, it looks yummy and not to difficult at all.

Well it smells awesome cooking but the pie crust was very sticky to work with, might use less water next time. Also i brushed the edges with egg and sprinkled with sugar!

Use 3 tablespoons of flour instead of 2 to minimize liquid and I used cinnamon and a bit of nutmeg in the apples. I like cinnamon with apple pie. Roll pie dough around rolling pin to transfer to baking sheet and use parchment paper on the baking sheet for easy clean-up. I cut the recipe in half to make one as two is too many for just the two of us unless you give one away. I also brushed an egg wash on the top of the dough and sprinkled it with sugar. Gave a nice touch to the dough. If granny smith apples are too tart for your taste try adding a couple of golden delicious with the granny smith. This combo is delish! Enjoy.
