I think this pie crust is amazing. The overall product was delicious as well. i did have the leaking problem that many others have mentioned. As i thought about it i think it has to do with the amount of moisture in the filling. i used the juice of 1/2 a lemon and after rewatching the show it didn't look like Ree used as much. Also the filling she put in look significantly less juicy than mine. I will make this again and use less lemon juice. Wonderful to find a pie crust that is much easier to work with and tastes delicious.

I love making apple pies, especially because it makes my family (particularly my husband happy. : I LOVE this pie for 3 reasons: 1 It has FABULOUS taste (I just added a little cinnamon and texture; 2 it is easier than using a pie plate b/c of its rustic nature; 3 you don't waste any crust (trimming and cutting off the edges. My daughter and husband fought over the last pieces; I think I may just abandon my pie plates. : Thank you, Ree! :

I loved it - I have Ree's cookbook and am looking for the second one. Today I felt soooo cool
Ree used pint jars for her desert - I am known with my family as the pint and quart jar queen. They find soup in their frig's and know who was there to visit. Anyway back to the flat pie - crust was good and the whole thing won't last two days at my house. I am 61 and starting to think my cooking was getting boring - not so now with my new favorite REE Love Ya Mar Mar

I'm 70 and was still searching for a flaky, tasty pie crust. I finally found it! I took it to a lunch at my sister's and we all thought it was the best crust ever. I could kick myself cause I forgot all about the caramel sauce. That would have put it WAY over the top. One thing I did was add a little cinnamon to the apples. Additionally, I rolled the crust out on parchment paper then slid the paper onto the baking sheet. While it did "leak" a little when baking, it didn't deter from the wonderful flavor. Thank you, Ree! You are my new best friend!

It was a hit at my superbowl party!!!! I am a newly wed and new at cooking/baking. This was my first home made pie crust, it was flaky and delicious!! I also made the easy caramel sauce to go with it, it completely transformed the pie!!! It was fabulous! I will definitely make this again!

First time I have tried a recipe from Ree and a disappointment. I followed the pie crust recipe exactly, and my husband, a guest and I all thought the crust was not particularly good in flavor or texture. Pick a different crust recipe.

This was an excellent, flaky pie crust! I have been searching for a recipe like this for many years! The crust was puffy and turned a beautiful golden brown after baked. Great recipe-thanks for sharing!

I tried Ree's flat apple pie yesterday, and it was delicious. My whole family loved it. I usually don't attempt pies because my crust never turns out flaky, but this recipe was simple and very good. It did leak a little, but who cares. When it came out of the oven, I just spooned it over the pie. I will certainly be making this again.

I think it is a great pie! I made a few little changes: I added 2 TBSP of sugar to the pie crust to give it more flavor, I added cinnamon to the apples, and I used a mix of Granny Smiths and Mac's. I did not chill my dough like she did on TV, but my dough remained cold, since it's winter and I'm in MA. I didn't roll the crust as thin as I would have for a regular pie. My pies only leaked a little onto the pans - no big deal. The crust is very falky, and I'm going to have my second slice tonight after supper. The pies have a nice rustic look (just like Ree said, and I posted a picture of one on my FB page. :- This recipe is a keeper.
