Great recipe! Think I will just use orange juice next time, it was a little too pineapple-ish for my kids.
We also tried it with a little sprite on the slightly thawed salad, it was very good! I think champagne with it would make a great brunch salad!

I halved this recipe and got rid of really ripe bananas. It was great; didn't have any fruit cocktail so I substituted a can of pears and some marachino cherries I had open in the fridge and needed to use. Also substituted half can of orange juice concentrate and the juice from the can of pineapple - worked great. My son takes his lunch every day and he thought this was fantastic to take with him. Have been very pleasantly surprised by the recipes of Ree Drummond - my family seems to perfer them to other long-time chefs on Food Network.

My family found this just a little tart. Maybe adding just a little sugar or sweetener if you think your fruit may not be real sweet.

These are easy to eat frozen, actually that's our favorite way. Right out of the freezer.
