I knew I was going to like these muffins because of the orange marmelade. It did take a little longer to put together ,perhaps because of my age(68shhh.Oh my gosh I am so proud of myself because they turned out (as you tv cooks say, perfect! Ree I love your show and the beautiful wide open spaces around you,can I come for a visit? Thank you and keep the show going.

I wanted to give this five stars because I have been searching for a LONG time for a muffin recipe that doesn't result in something dense and wet. These were wonderfully light and the texture was perfect. However, the marmelade is totally overpowering! I'm going to substitute with another type of jelly next time and see what happens. Overall though, a great base recipe!

These came out great! (They are especially tasty when still warm from the oven. Very moist. Love the topping. I thought they had a lot of orange flavor. For those who said they didn't taste enough orange, did you use store bought orange juice? If so, you might want to try squeezing your own next time. Store bought doesn't have nearly as much flavor as fresh squeezed. I halved the recipe as I only wanted a dozen muffins. I skipped the wheat germ because I didn't have any of hand.

I had a lot of mixed feelings about making this recipe. First off, I am not a baker. I follow everything to the letter usually, but after reading comments I decided to try & kick things up . I used 2 cups of apricot preserves, 1 cup of apricot nectar, almost 3/4 c sugar. I do t usually like overly sweet anything but felt the extra couldn't hurt. I put an oven thermometer in my oven because my oven is old but it registered 375. Good to go. After adding the topping, minus the wheat germ because I couldn't justify spending $4 on a jar that will just sit in my pantry. 20 minutes were up & when I took them out, I could tell they overtakes. Burtnt around the edges & heavy. They came right out of the muffin pan thanks to bakers joy spray. I opened one & spit it out. No flavor whatsoever. Not sweet enough even though I upped the sugar. Sorry Ree, I have your first book, everything I've made is a winner, but not this time. So disappointed.

Delicious! Most ingredients are already in your pantry too. Wish they held together a little better. But they taste great!

This recipe is easy peazy and oh so good. Ree isn't kidding about her recommendation not to over mix. This is a very delicate batter. I turned this into a coffee cake instead of the 24 muffins and it turned out beautifully. My son came into the house with his friends while it was in the oven, I heard one of the boys say, "Dude, your house smells so good! What's your mom making?" The kids hung out in the kitchen waiting to try some...nobody was waiting for breakfast!

I sneak one morning to surprise my family, and I made them quiet delicious and moist. So very easy instead of wheat germ I used grape nuts. Congratulations to the Pioneer Woman!

First of all, so happy we're finally getting to see The Pioneer Woman up here in Canada on our FoodNetwork channel. Tried the muffins and they were absolutely delicious! They didn't have the super orange kapow that I was hoping for, but still very tasty. I'll probably add some orange zest next time for more zing but overall they were moist, lovely and the topping was perfect. Will definitely be making these again.

I had this recipe in my recipe drawer waiting to make it for a long time with all of the stuff needed, i even went out to williams sonoma and bought a pastry cutter. This recipe was preety good but DO NOT USE CUPCAKE LINERS for this recipe because it will ruin it. the cupcake liner will stick to each muffin and its a pain in the butt. i did add some extra orange juice about a tabelspoon at the end though because it was hard to mix. After a week though they start getting hard, little by little.

Yum-Yum, triple Yum! The best muffin I've ever made. This recipe earned a place in my recipe box. Thank you Ree.
