I have been making these since I first saw them on her show. I add a cup of raisins or craisins to the recipe. I will continue making this recipe as I have now memorized this. I may try some of the variations that others have used in their versions of this recipe. Thanks for such a tasty recipe that got my husband off Pop Tarts!

These granola bars are terrific. Very simple recipe. Do not try to skip toasting the granola, this is key to a deep toasty flavor. I added coconut and cinnamon to give a little twist. Definitely let them cool a bit, but cut before they completely harden. Don't worry that they seem like they will fall apart, they will harden and stick together. Thanks again Ree for a tasty and hearty recipe!

This is a dandy recipe! My daughters and husband love these granola bars and take them to school/work nearly everyday. I've made several other recipes but this is, by far, their favorite. Sometimes I do the chocolate and sometimes I don't, either way always tasty. I've had no issues with hard or crumbling bars. I do use parchment to line my pan -- no sticking and I can lift the whole thing out to cut.

Delish! A wonderful, healthy snack that's packabel and great on the go! I have also altered this recipe a bit by omitting the chocolate and adding the zest of an orange! SO good! Thanks, Ree!

Made these and brought them to a track meet, they were a huge hit. I did dip them in melted milk chocolate and next time I will use salted almonds. I love salt/sweet.

Just made these and they are awesome.I flipped mine out onto a cutting board, peeled off the foil and cut into bars with a large chefs knife...no problem cutting them . I saved all of the little crumbs that broke off and sprinkled them on top of my yogurt at breakfast....yummy !
I did put my own spin on a few of the ingredients...I used melted coconut oil in place of the canola , melted a couple tablespoons of peanut butter into the sugar and honey mixture, used salted almonds ( love that sweet/salty thing and added some flax seed. Also used semi-sweet chocolate that I just spread on each bar with an off set knife. That is the best part of this...you can add whatever favorite ingredients you crave. I sprayed the back of my large metal spatula with pam and used that to press the mixture into the pan.
Using all organic ingredients, I am loving the fact that I saved a ton of money by making something myself that is better then what I could buy in the store !

Great recipe made them for the first time yesterday, I have wanted to make them since I saw the show. I did use a sheet pan and lined it with foil and sprayed the foil with Pam. Dipped in dark chocolate and a few even drizzled a little white chocolate over the dark to make them pretty. I do think I will add the peanut butter next time for a bit more flavor. I will make them again for sure!!

I thought the flavor was good. The problem that I had, is that mine turned out really hard. I feel like I am going to break a tooth every time I bite into one. I will not make the recipe again. I am going to try Ree's other recipe that is made in a 9 X 13 pan with the Strawberry Jam, maybe it will go better.
