This was my first time making green bean casserole and it was awesome!! Slightly time consuming, but worth every minute. My family loved it, I will certainly make it again.

First time I ever made green bean casserole and was so amazed at the results. My whole family raved about it; and is asking me to make it again! I looooved this dish. Rich, delicious, creamy and crunchy. The only thing I did differently was used Monterey Jack Cheese instead of sharp cheddar, and I used french fried onions as the topping instead of panko breadcrumbs. So delicious! A recipe keeper, and an official holiday staple!

A lot more work than the classic green bean casserole, but it was absolutely delish!!! Will definitely make this one again!

Ok now this is what you call a green bean casserole without used canned goods. My whole family was raving about this. The flavors were divine. I think I will add more bacon! They were begging me to make this again!!! YUMMY!!!!

This is my new favorite green bean casserole recipe. I used colby jack since I didn't have sharp cheddar on hand. It was so creamy and delicious and my family loved it!

Made this recipe for Christmas for our family. Everyone just loved it! I did add mushrooms as one reviewer suggested. I always enjoy watching Ree's weekend show. She has such a great sense of humor!

I read the reviews before making this for Christmas dinner, and saw that some said the sauce was bland. When I made it, I added lots of extra salt, pepper and cayenne which really helped, and made the sauce more flavorful! The flavor was great and it was a nice change from the usual green bean casserole. Everyone enjoyed it and I will definitely continue to make it for holidays!

Not sure why others did not like this recipe but I thought it was very tasty. Brought it for Christmas dinner and all of it was eaten. Did not think there was an overabundance of sauce as some others mentioned.

Ree, I can't wait to watch your Pioneer Woman show because everytime I learn a new way of making something...and I love it....including this recipe...the little 'extras' that you lovingly put into your recipes makes me want to live on a ranch!! So Good...thanks.
