These are so good!! Not sure why other posters are stating to cut the bacon in half? In the show, Ree shows cutting the bacon in half & wrapping the cracker & in recipe directions, it tells you to cut the bacon in half. Suggest that posters read the entire recipe including directions before making these!

My mother has been making these for years! She has only done it with brown sugar, no cheese. Everywhere she goes, people rave about them. She even brings them for brunches, parties, whatever. Yes, the grease and sugar carmelizes the cracker, but that is how it is supposed to be.

Saw this Saturday morning and immediately made them. Sorry but not a fan. I used Town House crackers and cut the bacon in half lengthwise. Just very greasy as the bacon grease soaked the crackers. My family was not impressed and we threw the entire pan into the trash after we all tasted one of each. Best part was the bacon with brown sugar, and I agree with the other reviewers that it would be easier to make candied bacon.

These were good, I definitely liked the brown sugar version better. That being said, for the amount of time it takes I think just making candied bacon would be better. You can't even detect the cracker, it's like just serving sweetened bacon (which is GOOD, but not extraordinary.

I had to try these immediately to quality test for a possible Christmas Eve appetizer : I used 1/2 slice of bacon per cracker and the 3 cheese parmesan cheese option....delicious....they won't last long, my husband asked me when I was going to make them again already. this recipe is a keeper!

Just watched her make this appetizer this morning, and it looked so weird, I had to try it. All I had in the house were Ritz crackers, but they worked just fine. Made just three or four of both kinds (I also cut the bacon strips in half as an experiment, and boy, were they good, especially the brown sugar ones! I wish I knew what to do to reheat these after freezing them (microwave, oven???? because they'd be great make-ahead snacks.

love this recipe..have used it many times..to save money, cut the bacon in half and wrap just 1/2 piece around cracker with cheese..tastes just the same and doesn't require as much bacon!
haven't tried the brown sugar but it really looks good..only problem with these...THEY GO SO FAST!! AND IMMEDIATELY THEY ARE GONE!!
