Truly a "kid friendly pasta salad" with great flavor and color. Funny thing is my husband liked it the best! I think the basil really gives it the extra special touch. Will definitely be making again!

Excellent. All of the ingredients complement each other. Sweet, tangy, soft, hardy, & colorful. This was better the second day, after all the ingredients blended. This one is a keeper!! I wouldn't change a thing.

The pasta salad was fantastic! Instead of adding green onions I added some dried chives.(my husband doesn't care for onions I like other added black olives and grren olives. Great Job-Ree!

This recipe is delicious! I've made this 3 times since I saw the show and the whole family loves it. I don't think it has too much vinegar like some other posters, but I did put a little more sugar, about a 1\2 tsp. I skipped the onions and basil and added frozen peas. The kids love it!

Every recipe I've tried of hers I have loved and I can't say how much I adore her show. I always make adjustments though. I made mine with red onions instead of green onions, red wine vinegar instead of white, arugula instead of basil (since these were what I had on hand and then substituted Greek yogurt for the mayo and added a ton of seasonings besides the salt and pepper. Delicious to pack for lunch with an ice pack for those who have no access to a microwave!

My 8-year-old daughter and I never miss an episode of Ree's show. As soon as she saw this one, she wanted to make it for the Labor Day barbecue at Grandma's. I agree with the poster who said that the balance was a bit vinegar-y for our taste, but otherwise, this was wonderful! She got lots of compliments on her choice and on our cooking.

I just made this recipe for our laborious day cook out this evening, but decided to throw in a packet of ranch seasoning. It turned out amazing! Really haven't found any of Ree's recipes that I haven't loved:

I too made this dish right after I saw it on tv, I used sharp cheddar cheese it was fantastic
I'm making it for this holiday weekend and will change a few things. More tomatoes, green onions and a small shell pasta, I'm also adding olives at the last minute.

I watched this episode and immediately wanted to make this for myself (no kids yet. I used low fat mayo and kept all other ingredients the same. It was delicious but I would definitely tweak a few things. A little bit less vinegar and a little more mayo. The balance listed in recipe was a little too vinegary. Also, i would use sharp cheddar. The mild cheddar I used was barely noticeable and I love to taste my cheese! I think added black olives (like mentioned by other reviewer is a great idea! Also am interested to try with different shaped pastas...I used cavatappi pasta.
