    Made these for a Sweet 16 Surprise party as THE CAKE and topped them with a thin cream cheese frosting (colored the birthday girl's favorite orange and the kids enjoyed but even they thought them a bit sweet. However, the birthday girl and her sister polished them off for breakfast....brain food for teenagers! Will try the recipe again as a single batch and might use Ina Garten's caramel recipe and a little sea salt in the middle...unwrapping all those candies was the hard part!

    They were great! I made the for our super bowl party. They did taste better the next day so next time i will make them earlier

    I was a little disappointed in this recipe. They were very easy, and came together quickly-they didn't need to sit in the fridge as long as it suggested. However, we found them far too sweet for our taste (as did our guests. The melted caramels did not taste like "real" caramel, and I think it would be better to just make your own-it's simple--use the Barefoot Contessa recipe. These were good, but not great. I wouldn't necessarily say they tasted "homemade," because I honestly think they tasted like a boxed mix and candy caramels. I know that's what they were, but I expected more depth of flavor.

    This is the best brownie recipe I have ever eaten.I made them for a party and everyone was so in love with. I have copied the recipe so each guest will have it.

    These were amazing! My mother made these for us to share with friends at a Super Bowl party and they were a hit! Everyone was talking about them all night. Even the hard core football fans were taking time out to come back to the table several times to grab a few before running back to the sofa to snack on! Great show, great blog! LOVE Pioneer Woman! My favorite cooking show!!
