These are really good and moist brownies. Hubby isn't a dessert lover and he had seconds! I only gave it 4 stars because the caramel was overwhelming. (Never thought I'd say too much caramel I will use 40-50 caramel pieces next time and skip the pecans. Then it will be 5 stars for sure!!

I need help! I've made this recipe two times. The second time I got it right by default. Followed the recipe to a T. It comes out super gooey and it wasn't until the next day of sitting on counter that the caramel had sort of set and texture was stiff enough to enjoy all of the layers. Is that anyone else's experience? So now I'm thinking to make it at night for next day's consumption.

I made this recipe last nite and it came out perfect! I use caramel ice cream syrup and mixed it with condense milk, bring to boil and constantly stir until thickened. I use parchment paper to keep brownies from sticking. I also placed top layer of brownie in the freezer to make it easier to work with while making the caramel sauce, This recipe is simple and easy, Will be making this a family tradition.

Really good! Loved the caramel layer. Next time I might stir the chocolate chips in the batter or add chocolate bars on top of the caramel layer. It was easy to shape the top layer dough with my hands.

Best brownies I have ever had. Severed them at a New Years party and everyone loved them. Making them again this weekend for another party!

These were by far the BEST brownies I've ever had. I brought them to my friends place and we devoured them!!! They were pretty easy. The hardest part was opening all the caramels and waiting for them to melt. But trust me it is WELL WORTH THE TIME!!!! So good!!!

I never, ever, ever use cake mixes, until this recipe. I bake, so there's no need. But this episode of her show was football-themed, and my beloved Ducks were gearing up to with the Fiesta Bowl, so I needed a good dessert. She had me at thick, gooey layer of caramel.
It was very easy, however, instead of trying to fashion a top layer, I broke that half of the batter into small chunks and distributed them over the chips and caramel. Worked great! Everyone loved these, including me :

I don't understand why some shows get cut because of plagiarism and this one still goes on. This recipe has been around for years and years. It is completely unoriginal. Yes, they are good - which is why the recipe has been around for years.

These brownies are INSANE!! Well worth unwrapping all those caramels. there were 52 in the bag, minus the few i ate, and it was plenty for the filling.

These were GREAT! Didn't see any clothes flying off anybody, but everybody (6 said delicious & yummy all around. Made/baked night before, kept in refrig & removed about ½ hour before serving. Variances/critiques: NOTE: 1/2C evap. milk & 1/3C evap. milk DIVIDED. Bought 2nd bag of caramels to meet 60 req., but honestly–a whole bag of Kraft caramels is plenty. I had difficulty placing the 2nd layer atop the first. I used a 2nd pan lined with plastic wrap to press out the top half. May have had better luck if I’d had the patience to chill & firm in the refrig/freezer before placing atop the 1st half. I cut it into thirds which let the caramel to leak up through the cracks-not as pretty but no harm. I greased (but forgot to flour the pan & the result was the baked result CLUNG to the pan for dear life–so don’t forget that part!
Will definitely make again & consider adding some orange marmalade to the caramel for a different twist!
