We should have read the review before making this dish. It didn't have much taste and didn't taste at all like Lasagna. The cottage cheese is not good. I think lack of seasonings might be the biggest problem and using plain hamburger with breakfest sausage.........well we ordered pizza.

I was watching the Food Network channel over the weekend & saw Ree make this Lasagna & thought what the heck.

I am extremely happy that I gave this recipe a shot. This by far is the best lasagna that I have ever made yet alone ate. My kids love leftover lasagna & we did have some leftovers but they didnt last long.

I didnt change a single thing! Ree thank you so much for sharing this delightful recipe.

Awesome! I love that you use cottage cheese! This is how my mom made it and taught me! Great!

I gave it try because I didn't have any Itailian sausage. The breakfest sausage Jimmy Deans which I like didn't do it. I must say the recipe didn't work and I thought it might just pass. Along with the cottage cheese which other authors mentioned was a flop. It didn't work for me and i will not try it again

This was a great change to the ordinary lasagna recipe. It's delicious, the sausage adds such a nice flavor. The fact that you just mix in the tomatoes and the tomato paste make the lasagna not so saucy (which I like ... a lot of recipes just take like tomato sauce! So YUMMY!!! I think next time I may try it with 1 lb hamburger and 1 lb sausage ... it was a lot of meat. But that didn't keep me or my husband from eating it! Loved the cottage cheese instead of ricotta!! Thank you so much Ree ... keep 'em coming!

This recipe for lasagna has the best tasting sauce - love the addition of sausage - it made the sauce beautifully thick and rich. However, every Italian afficianado knows that lasagna is made with ricotta, not cottage cheese (cottage cheese is tangy, ricotta is not. I simply used ricotta instead and this lasagna was a really authentic-tasting lasagna. (I also tried using the no-cook lasagna noodles - I won't do that again - they stick together and are a little tough.

I DO NOT KNOW HOW THIS RECIPE DID NOT GET 10 FROM EVERYONE. SO AWESOME! I MADE ONE FOR MY HUSBAND AND I AND ANOTHER FOR MY SON STEVE AND HIS PREGNANT WIFE AND ALL OF THEM LOVED, LOVED IT! I HAVE TRIED A LOT OF LASAGNA RECIPES INCLUDING JOY BEHAR'S, AND THIS IS BY FAR THE JUCIEST, TASTIEST, NOT DRY AND WITHOUT THE AGGRESSIVE ALMOST BITTER TASTE OF SOME LASAGNAS.(IS IT THE CHEESE?, THE TOMATO SAUCE? I BELIEVE THE COTTAGE CHEESE IS A GREAT CHOICE (EVEN THOUGH I LOVE RICOTTA. MY HUSBAND WHO IS A GOURMAND, SAID "IT WAS A NICE TREAT".

I meant not enough spices or herbs in the meat sauce...the basil just isn't enough to cover this dish. Sorry, love the PW but...

Let it snow! I am in the hospitality business in Jackson, Wyoming. This is Presidents week. That means loads of visitors coming to ski. Problem, we needed snow. So, for my kitchen version of a snowdance, I tuned in to see what PW may have going on at the ranch. The absolute perfect answer, Cowboy tailgate equals hearty comfort food... lasagna! After seeing this episode, I thought I remembered the recipe in PW Cooks. Yup, it's there! And the best part, PW's parting words something like Marlboro Man married her for this recipe. Well, the snow is dumping right now, our clients are blissfully carving turns on Rendezvous Mountain and I am sitting fireside thanking my lucky PW and Food Network stars for making my kitchen snowdance effective! Make this recipe and all your dreams will come true, too!
    Love,
    Betsy
