No one in my family enjoyed this mac n cheese. The cheese mixture was not creamy enough. It was quite deceiving while making because it did seem very creamy however once I added the noodles it became dry. I'm not sure if it was due to the starch on the noodles, but the sauce became dry and partially coagulated. I've made this mac n cheese 2x. The first time I baked it which really caused the dish to dry out. This last time we ate it immediately in hopes it would be creamy and delicious. My children also did not enjoy the fast of the dry mustard.

I am shredding my own cheese so I can't blame the powdered cellulose on pre-shredded cheese for coagulating this dish.

Great mac and cheese recipe. My kids are stuck on the boxed mac and cheese and complain every time I make it homemade. They loved this recipe made with mini wheels.

This recipe was my first post-college foray into "real" cooking, and it was very easy. I used half sharp cheddar and half colby jack, because I knew my family would rebel with so much sharp cheese. I didn't bake it because my oven isn't working. It was still creamy and delicious, and I really liked the addition of the mustard. I appreciated how the directions were easy to follow for someone who isn't super familiar with cooking. Thank you Ree!

My husband and I enjoyed this very much. Although I didn't have dry mustard it was very good. We also had the Comfort Meatballs they were the best. I'm also trying the Ice Coffee they are also my addiction. Will let ya know on this one tomorrow.

Not a fan of sharp cheddar- I think next time I'll go with mild instead- just too much for me. But other than that, really easy to fix, and is very cheesy! This is the first PW recipe that I just did not love. I agree that Mac and cheese should be creamy, but the mustard + the sharp cheese just really did not work for me at all.

Oops, when I reviewed this dish, my tired brain mixed up the pioneer woman's baked corn dish and the mac and cheese. We loved them both, but in my previous review I mentioned adding corn starch to mac and cheese. I only added that to the baked corn dish not the mac and cheese. Both dishes are excellent.

Love. love. love. Thank you for a homemade Mac-n-Cheese recipe that doesn't involve any processed cheese to make it creamy : It was buttery, cheesy, creamy delicious! Thanks Ree!

I've made this recipe twice now for parties and it always comes out cheesy and delicious - definitely needs the extra punch of paprika and cayenne pepper, but AWESOME recipe. I think the home-grated cheese is key to proper meltage. Thanks, Ree!
