I agree with johnandshannon1. I never made meatloaf and was disgusted by the idea of a "loaf of meat". My boys watched the episode with me and begged me to make it. It is a huge hit and
I have made one several times since. I have one in the oven right now. I leave off the bacon because I never end up having any on hand, but like johnandshannon1, I double the sauce. The sauce makes it!

My family loves this! I think it is so savory and the sauce on top is great! I would use a little less milk next time.

In the 20 years I've been married I never made meatloaf. There was always something about the spoof Brady Bunch show that made meatloaf seem repulsive (if you've never seen the show, they made a farce about Alice's unhealthy cooking and showed about five pounds of raw ground beef on a platter representing meatloaf. Then I saw the Pioneer Woman episode where she made the bacon-wrapped meatloaf, and I had to try it. It was an instant hit, and my guys asked for seconds. I can't wait to have meatloaf sandwiches tomorrow. One recommendation--double up on the sauce ingredients. I made it exactly as recommended, and it was wonderful!

This is the first meatloaf I have ever made. My husband and kids LOVED it. I followed the directions exactly as it was written-except I added an extra pound of hamburger. It was easy to do and the fam gushed over the bacon, as it was such a delicious bonus!

I made my meatloaf and put Ree's topping on it tonight. It was fantastic. I make a good meatloaf but usually only put tomato soup on top. This topping put my good meatloaf over the top! My husband and son couldn't get enough. Keep the man pleasing recipes coming Ree.

A long time ago, my husband asked me to never cook meatloaf again. When I saw this episode, I knew I had to try this meatloaf. He whined all the way home from work on meatloaf night. Then, he ate it. Now, he looks forward to meatloaf. I cook one meatloaf at a time. So, I halve that part of the recipe. But, I double up on the sauce. The bacon is cooked and moist. And, besides the sauce tastes great. I've been inspired to do the same with chicken. I made bacon wrapped and sauced baked chicken breast with baked beans and corn on the cob. It was fantastic also. This sauce is the best.

The meatloaf was delicious and moist but the bacon didn't look too appetizing. Next time I want to try cooking the bacon and putting sauce on the meatloaf first and crumbling bacon over the top.

This meatloaf is off the chart good! I have made plenty of meatloaf in my day, and this one is by far one of the best. Makes great sandwiches the next day too. . .If there's any left. 3>
