I really like Pioneer Woman's blog and enjoy her show on FN now. This meatloaf is an exception to her normally tasty dishes. It was so bland and even had an off-putting taste. I'm not a picky eater but this was not good. Make one of PW's other great recipes and if you want meatloaf make your mom's, Paula Deen or Ina's Garten's recipe. If you insist on making it, reduce the sugar in the sauce - it is WAY too sweet. The bacon didn't add flavor that I noticed either - disappointed I wasted all that yummy bacon!

OMG!This receipe was amazing!! My husband is a meat and potatoe kind of guy too but he loved this receipe. He said it was the best meatloaf he'd ever eaten! The sauce was die for, I could have eaten it with a spoon. My entire family loved it too especially my grandkids because it didn't have onions and peppers! I doubled the receipe but it goes a long way; we had whole loaf left over to enjoy the next couple of days. Thanks Ree!

I made this for my BF, and he hated it, because there were no onions, and so, he claims no flavor. I am inclined to agree. Maybe it's where we live? But meatloaf has onion. I do like Ina Garten's suggestion to pan fry the onion first, so it's not raw and crunchy. Ree we have loved a lot of your recipes, so I'm going to try this again, with onion, and WAY les bacon.

I followed the recipe exactly and have to say this is THE BEST meatloaf I've ever made or eaten. It was flavorful and moist, the dipping sauce put it over the top!! My husband went back for seconds and then asked to have it packed in his lunch for work, lol. I am making this for a friend today and will be passing along the recipe as well. I am really looking forward to trying more of Ree's recipes.

The meatloaf was good especially with the bacon but I've had better.

Love, love, love Ree Drummond and her new show. Very good meatloaf recipe. I don't normally use white bread (or as much of any kind of bread, but I tried this and it did have a good texture. I added onions, bell pepper and celery as per my preference, but otherwise followed the recipe and thought it was very good.

My husband caught this show and decided he was going to treat the family to this dish....it was really yummy and received rave reviews from the family. I think he would have preferred to eat it on Ree's OK ranch, but our coastal Florida home worked ok, too. Thanks!

Okay, but way too dry and lacking of flavor. However, the sauce is quite good. It saved the meat.
