pretty good, needed more salt though. Bread crumbs instead of smushed bread would have made for a more uniform consistency. No matter how much i broke up the larger pieces of bread, i still ended up with unappetizing-looking whitish spots throughout the loaf. That's all you need to make leary children say "nope".

I did make this a little different- used 1/2 ground pork, 1/2 ground chuck, & gruyere cheese (it was the only one I had, but followed the recipe for everything else and it was fantastic! I got rave reviews from the family. My niece's boyfriend said it was the best meatloaf he has ever eaten! The sauce was super duper!

I much prefer my mother-in-laws meatloaf over this one! This one doesn't have the wow flavor that my mother-in-laws does .....I won't be making this one again, lack of seasonings for one thing, I did add onion to this, but still not enough other seasonings in it. It looked great coming out of the oven, texture was good, but pretty much tasteless. I also don't understand why others seem to like this one so much & why they gave it a high rating.

This meatloaf looked really good when it came out of the oven, which made the lack of flavor even more disappointing! The texture was good, but the lack of adequate seasoning, onions, garlic made it pretty tasteless. I thought the bacon would add flavor, but it did not. The only real flavor was in the tomatoe sauce, which was much too sweet. I don't understand why others seem to like this. I won't be making this recipe again.

My husband, who happens to be the fussiest eater I know of, loved this. The bacon helps keep it moist. Since it makes so much, the leftover meatloaf makes excellent sandwiches. The first time I made it, I made the whole recipe. There was so much of it that I wound up freezing half. Even after freezing it, it was still wonderfully flavorful. This will be "the" meatloaf recipe in my house from now on.

This meatloaf is the best recipe. I have made it several times and my family loves it. I just put everything in and mix it all up. It comes out great everytime. I put the sauce on during the last 30 minutes of cooking time. I will definitely will be keeping this recipe. Thanks Ree.
