I absolutely love this recipe. I did make a few changes. I took out the bacon and added green peppers and onions to the meat. Made it a few times and all my friends love it too. This is the best meatloaf recipe I have come across. Good job!

I HATE meatloaf with a passion, even the thought of it is repulsive! However, when I saw this episode, I was intrigued and couldn't wait to try it out. It was a HUGE hit! I've made it twice now and we ALL LOVE IT - 3 picky kids, myself included - hubby not a picky eater loved it too!! DE-LISH is all I can say and double the yummy sauce!!!

The sauce is awesome, we typically triple the recipe for a 2 lb meatloaf.

This recipe is just delicious! My mother (ever the critic even gave me the ultimate compliment & said this meatloaf was BETTER than hers (and it sure is - by far!!!!! Now my husband drools whenever I even hint at making meatloaf & he even brags so much at work he showed everyone pictures of the meatloaf all dressed up in bacon & ready to slip into the oven... LOL I get compliments galore when I make this meatloaf - it's incredibly moist & delectable. Thank you so much, Ree... you've inspired me to discover the joy of cooking in my 40s (I just wasn't interested before I discovered your show & a few others on the Food Network channel recently. Keep on doing what you do - I'm now a devoted fan!

I've made this twice. I followed the recipe for the meatloaf and sauce exactly. The only difference was the first time didn't have bacon to cover so I used some tender ham, the second time I used the bacon. Frankly, the thin sliced tender ham was better. I didn't think the bacon cooked through enough and It just peeled off. The ham sliced through easily and added a layer of flavor. I also carmelized some onions and served them on the side. Great! Thanks Ree. Will make again and again.

I have to tell you, I have tried for a number of years and a number of receipies to make a meatloaf my son would say was anything beyond just ok. This one did it! It got rave reviews from both father and son, which isn't always an easy feat in this house. Definite keeper thanks so much Ree.

I never liked meatloaf before...this is way beyond meatloaf! It is sweet, tangy, and extremely easy to prepare! Will make again and again!

I loved this recipe. So quick and easy. I made this for Sunday dinner. I live in the Bahamas and it was a huge hit!! My aunt who says she usually stays away from meatloaf started with one slice and requested another. It was delicious. I paired mine with Ree's twice-baked potatoes, roasted corn and spinach salad. The only changes I made was the addition of herbs and a goat pepper.
