These came out horribly. First off the glaze is really messy and doesn't stay on the cookies. So you end up with this crusty residue on the edges where it sticks to the pan. If that's not bad enough, the glaze tastes like an omelette. I suppose because it's straight up egg yolk, I shouldn't be too surprised. Although I have a hard time believing that everyone else likes a cookie with plain egg-flavored icing. I didn't. Also, I agree with the other reviewer who said these taste lemon-y. I used orange zest and once the egg flavor goes away, you're left with a very strong orange one. Not a fan at all. Will never make these again.

Absolutely terrible. I couldn't get the dough to roll so I had to just make circles. When I tried to roll out the dough it just crumbled. I think there should be a warning that they will taste lemony. Also, I only got 18 cookies. I will never make these again.

I tried this recipe 2 years ago when I was looking for a simple, decorated cookie. They are amazing! Very light, slightly lemony and fun to make. We made this every Christmas now.
