Absolutely delicious!!! I've always just put a roast with the vegtables in water and cooked them in the oven until done, but the extra flavor from the beef broth and herbs really made a huge addition to the flavor!! Thank you I can't wait to make it again!

My boyfriend has always "choked down" my pot roasts in the past. I told him that I was going to try yet another recipe and he said he would eat it but given the choice would probably rather have something else. Well, this pot roast won him over. He couldn't stop raving about it and asking when we could have it again. Ree, this recipe is so delicious...thank you!

I always took pride in my own recipe for pot roast. But your recipe beats all other recipes. I will only make my pot roast this way from now on. I cooked a 4.5# chuck roast for 4 people with no leftovers. Thasnk for all your wonderful recipes.

Low & slow perfection! It was hard to wait because the aroma was incredible. Ree's mashed potatoes put this dinner over the top. Definitely will put this dinner in my rotation.

I just made this tonight for our Sunday dinner and it was fabulous! The meat was so tender. I didn't put enough Kosher salt on the meat, so next time I need to be more generous with the salt. I plan to make this again and again.

On my daughters recomendtation I tried this pot roast; It got rave reviews from all at the dinner table. I cook a lot and usually get good comments on my meals;but this is great. easy enough for during the week; but exceptional enough for company. I served it with truffle butter risotto. but next time will try the creamy mashed potatoes.

Excellent. I had a 4 pound piece of beef. I prepared it in my slow cooker, on high, for 6.5 hours. I skipped the wine and added a little extra beef broth. Dinner was superb. The meat was tender, the juice was rich, and the veg held up nicely. Plus, we had the most delicious pot roast sandwiches the next day.
