I paired this pot roast with Alton Browns garlic mashed potatoes and the meal was perfect. Although I added bay leaves and garlic. Additional to the meal was sweet corn, fried sweet potatoes and fry bread. Thanks for sharing!!!

Oh,yes! the best roast I ever made- simple, delicious, tender, and the seasonings were just right.Next time I'll use the "boat motor" to make a nice thick gravy from the veggies.

I have to say that this pot roast recipe is the only one I have ever tried that "trumps" my mother's (and mine of 20+ yrs. The flavors and ease of putting this together once your prep is done are awesome. My husband could not filter the fact that this beat mine hands down! Kids concurred which I gladly accepted. Thanks Ree for a real slam-dunk for moms!!

Our family liked this recipe and it was super easy to prepare. I used half beef broth (one 14oz can and half red wine, which gave it a little extra flavor without having a strong wine flavor. I also used tiny new potatoes in their skins, cooking them along with the carrots. I might add whole garlic cloves next time.

Best Pot Roast I have ever had. With mashed potato's you cannot miss. Wife was commenting on how well it smelled while cooking.

Yummmmm...made this tonight with Ree's twice baked potates and apple crisp for dessert. Perfect for Sunday supper. The pot roast was fall apart tender. The addition of the fresh herbs is definitely evident and freshens up the taste. I followed the recipe and don't feel the need to change a thing! Just be sure to season the roast extremely well.

Best pot roast I have ever made. I did only one thing differently.. when the whole deal was cooked, I took the meat out of the juices to slice it and used my immersion blender to blend the carrots and onions into the juice.. made the most delicious gravy I have ever had. Roast was tender and wonderful. Thank you Lee!!!!!
