Very good and super easy. Make sure the coffee is really hot though. You don't even have to have the creme on top, but I kind of like to add a bit of flavor to it when I make it=cherry, mint, ??? Yummy. Cheap, easy, and a crowd pleaser!

I love this recipe because it's so easy, and because it does not require cream! I love that I can get the chocolate flavor, without the fat of the cream. This is a great alternative to the traditional recipe. I will make again!

This is terrible, very bitter with an off texture. It needs cream and sugar to make a proper pot de creme. I think MagsMeals were successful because she did use cream.

I was skeptical given the simplicity of this recipe, but was very pleasantly surprised -- it is awesome!!!

I just made these using 3/4 C. heavy cream and 1/4 C. Dark Magic Extra Bold coffee. It turned out wonderful. I just couldn't see making Pots de Creme without cream. Maybe I will try it with all coffee next time, but I know my son wouldn't like it that way.

I bake frequently, but do not have much patience for stirring over a hot stove. This recipe sounded so easy I was not sure it could taste like much. It was fabulous!!! Firm texture and intense chocolate flavor. KIds and adults alike raved. As a bonus I always have the ingredients on hand (do not always have heavy cream so this could easily be whipped up before work for guests in the evening.

I did not like this recipe AT ALL. It was thick. It reminded me of mucus. I'll stick with pots de CREME recipes that call for CREAM. Didn't Rachael Ray do this on Oprah? "Chef" Ree Drummond just subbed coffee for milk?

I halved the recipe, and had probably an ounce extra of milk chocolate chips. FANTASTIC. The resulting creme is rich in flavor but light in texture, perfectly smooth, soft, and oh-so-yummy. (And yes, soft - it's about the consistency of whipped pudding. I was able to fill four ramekins perfectly. And because I normally have all these ingredients on hand, I suspect this is going to be one of my go-to quick desserts. Score!
