I used slices of swiss cheese rather than grated cheddar. I also used regular large hamburger buns rather than whole grain buns. I mixed mayo with a bit of spicy southwest mustard and slathered the buns with that. You could really take these over the top by adding lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc. but trust me it's really not necessary. They are fabulous as is.

This is the first chicken recipe in 14 years that I have made that my husband actually ate all of it and wanted seconds!! This is also the first of Ree's Recipes that I tried a few months back and have been cooking up some of her other dishes since and the hubby loves it! Thanks Ree for saving my cooking.....my husband thanks you too!

Yum! This chicken has such great flavor! Made the chicken with a few veggies sides instead of sandwiches. Will definitely make again. So far, I love all of Ree's recipes that I've made.

These were the most amazing chicken sandwiches ever! I served them on onion rolls, which enhanced the flavor even more. The key at the end to put them over the top is to do what Ree did on her show, and that is to wrap them in tin foil just before serving them. She's right; that tin foil does something magical to them. It softened and warmed the bun and just made everything even yummier. I just wrapped each sandwich in foil and stacked them on plates and folks could just help themselves.
