Squeeze the lemons and pour the juice into a pitcher. Mix together the sugar with 3 cups water and stir to dissolve to make a syrup. Add the syrup to the lemon juice and top it up with 8 cups water. Taste to make sure it's sweet enough for you, and then add the raspberries. Mix the lemonade together and let chill in the fridge. (Keep in mind that the raspberries are tart, so be sure to sweeten enough!)
Fill mason jars with ice cubes and top them off with the lemonade.
Most good lemonaid recipes call for making a simple syrup and this one does not. If you don't first make the syrup over the stovetop, the sugar will separate and accumulate on the bottom of the pitcher. I recommend heating the 3 cups water and 3 cups sugar till the sugar disolves first. You need to refrigerate the syrup to cool it becfore you make the lemonaid. Lastly, add the lemon juice and the residual water and about 1/2 the syrup to a pitcher and taste the lemonaid. Add more syrup as needed to get your preferred sweetness.See All ReviewsPost Review
