This recipe was wonderful, made it for dinner and my 12 year old granddaughter ate 2 helpings of it and I don't usually see her eating potato salad. I thought it wonderful and I haven't found any recipe that Ree has done that I haven't like. See has a wonderful show.I didn't have any french fried onion and it was great, I will get some for next time.

This dish was amazing! I used a big spoonful of margarine instead of butter and left out the french onions. My very picky 13 year old son LOVED it! It will definitely be returning to our Sunday dinners!!

Used to make smashed potatoes very similar to these all the time... After watching the show the other day, I decided to make them again using Ree's recipe as the addition of the french fried onions caught my eye... They turned out great! Used pre-shredded sharp cheddar cause one of my girls doesn't like spicy stuff, and also because it just saves me valuable time! Also added a little heavy cream since I had some from a previous recipe, and I figured a little cream wouldn't hurt anything!!!

Yum! Yum! Yum! I have never met a potato that I did not like. This recipe was no exception. Taste similar to twice baked, but soooo much easier to make. My daughter does not like the peel left on the potato, but said this is really good, and she didn't even realize she was eating the peel as it was soft. Also, I wrapped the potatoes in foil to bake because I wanted to peel to be tender. Thanks for another tasty recipe. I love your show and look forward to watching each new episode.
