This sauce is extremely rich, but SO delicious! I found everything was better dipped in it! We had leftover (I will half the recipe next time and I even reheated it to dip roasted red potatoes in! It is a rich, heavy sauce, so I vow to only make it for special occasions, but man was it good!

The sauce is very tasty, but as others have mentioned it is also very rich. I would recommend putting this on the side in a dipping dish. The picture is pretty accurate, but once you start cutting into that yummy steak it can get a bit messy. I will definitely try this again, but I think next time in lieu of onions I'll use shallots.

So I made this on Christmas Day, but I used Filet Mignon instead. It was love at first bite! My ultra picky step-daughter asked "whats that in the bowl?" And I told her, she immediately reached over and gave herself a big helping and went back for more. The blue cheese sauce really makes the whole meal. This is definitely a keeper in my house from now on.

Oh my!! I made this onion blue cheese sauce last night to have with rib steaks. It is soooo good. My husband said it was excellent too.
I did notice in the recipe, which was 1/2 the recipe that Ree made on TV, that it called for 3-4 TBS. of worchestire sauce. Even the full recipe she did on TV didn't have that much W. sauce in it. So I used about 2 TBS. of W. sauce. Any more would have been too much.
Just delicious!
