Sorry, I disagree with JennJenn and OrangePoppies...the method of cooking is NOT "unnecessary and gimmicky". This pasta dish was absolutely delicious because the steam that builds up in the foil packet finished the seafood perfectly and lets the flavors all mingle together without losing and of the juices. It also makes for an easy clean up! You're only supposed to sear the seafood briefly, not cook it all the way through, so if your dish came out overcooked, that is due to user error, not recipe error. Long story short, this one is a keeper!!! The only thing I changed was adding sugar to the tomato sauce. Good luck!

I agree with JennJenn. The recipe, as written, simply doesn't make sense. Baking "in a foil package" is unnecessary. A gimmick. The ingredients are fine and lovely, but the procedure is way out of whack.

This was a wonderful combination of flavors. We are having it for dinner again tonight, one of a few recipes that we ever duplicate. The sauce is one that I have used for pasta but never thought to add seafood to the mix. Outstanding!

I made this last night for my husband and daughter. Delicious! Even my daughter, who is pretty picky, loved it! The only changes I made were that I seared the seafood first and set it aside while I made the simple sauce...I did add about a teaspoon of sugar to the tomatoes to counteract the acidity and omitted the wine (didn't have any on hand, 'cause I drank all of it! I also added the cream into the sauce instead of adding it tableside. Other than that, I stayed true to the recipe and like I said, it was delicious. My seafood and pasta came out perfectly cooked!

Ummmmm NO! the shrimp was WAY overcooked (trusted the directions instead of my knowledge Sauce was lifeless and the need to bake it totally uneccessary given how over cooked the seafood was. Either don't precook the seafood (not recc or cook pasta fully, reduce sauce more, combine and serve skipping bake time!

I wasnt to sure if this recipe was going to make it to table or to the garbage. The tomatoes, wine, garlic, S/P,pepper flakes, just was not enough to make this sauce taste good. I went with it, and moved onward. I seared the seafood first, and then add the garlic wine tomatoes, in the same pan for those scrapings. Put them all together, sealed the foil, and put into the oven. Warmed up the cream, poured it over the pasta, fixed up a small plate and took a bite. OMG, it is sooooo good. I piled my plate. Next time more shrimp please. Lobster would be good in this. Endless. I like the make the recipes for the Pioneer Woman. Easy and GREAT!!
