My family liked the sloppy joes. Much better than a can but a little too sweet for my family. Maybe served with a savory side to even it out would be better. Not saying they are bad, just too sweet for our taste.

I've been making Rachel Ray's Super Sloppy Joes for years and have permanently given up canned stuff. I saw this recipe on PW's website and I wanted to give it a try. I tried it because I had more meat to use than RR's recipe and didn't have tomato paste which is an ingredient for the recipe. The bottom line is that PW's recipe is every bit as good as RR's and I now have 2 'go to' sloppy joe recipes.

I really enjoy these, as does my family. I actually make these (and this recipe makes so much I can freeze and get 2 more meals out of it and then I follow the recipe for the Pillsbury unsloppy joes and put them in the biscuits, fold them in half and then bake them in that. I don't freeze those though, just the remaining beef.

My family LOVED these. My husband loves the can stuff, but now we agreed we will NEVER buy canned again. This was very easy to make, and a quick weeknight dinner. I give it 5 stars all the way!!! Thanks!!

I gave this recipe 5 stars because my family loved these sloppy joes. I use to make sloppy joes from the can. When I watched Ree make her sloppy joes, I knew my family would love a much more fresh flavorful sandwich. It is a new family favorite.

I gave this recipe three stars as my family found the results too sweet. May make it again but will most likely eliminate the brown sugar or reduce the amount to 1 TBS. Smelled wonderful while simmering.

Simply delicious! AND easy to make. I haven't been a fan of Sloppy Joes since I was a kid. If they were on the menu at school I would give them away. I decided to venture out of my comfort zone and make this dish. Ok and even taste it. I'm so glad I did both! Thanks Ree!

Great recipe. I loved this sloppy joe recipe, and my family loved it too! I added just a pinch more of ketchup for a creamier texture, but it was wonderful!

This is a keeper! We haven't had sloppy joes in a long time, and our previous sloppy joe recipes included a pre-packaged mix. Using this recipe to make sloppy joes from scratch was much tastier and really didn't require much more prep time than using a packaged mix of seasonings. We also found that the leftover sloppy joes tasted even better the next day.
