I had a small can of (3 oz. chipotle in adobo instead of the 11 ounce. I'm so glad I used the small can. Even it was pretty spicy. Had I used the large can, my family wouldn't have been able to eat it. I, too, used Dr. Pepper. So good! This is the best pulled pork and it makes a lot. To go with it, I made your au gratin potatoes. Oh my!!! Those two dishes along with my slaw made a delicious Father's Day meal. Oh, I forgot to mention we had Flat Apple pie for dessert!!! I could probably add a few more exclamation marks, but I'll stop with three. Thanks, Ree!!!

Way....way to hot! I can't believe she claimed to serve children. All heat, no taste. Never again!

Wow, really good dish. chipotle a little warm, but we like hot here. Did make a few tweeks tho. I used my slow cooker instead of the oven. Didn't have the crust...but still very good. I pureed the liquids and made a BBQ sauce. Its killer.

First off, it's called Soda... ; and second, this pork is FANTASTIC!!!! It turns out so moist and flavorful, sweet but spicy; it's delicious on a sandwich, or on its own with corn pudding on the side. Highly recommended!

This recipe is amazing!!! I added a few shallots some garlic cloves and two whole jalapenos. Amazing, my 15 year old could have eaten it all himself!

After reading other reviews I decided to use the 7oz of chipotle peppers and it turned out perfect! It didn't start out hot but got hotter the more you ate. It was a nice sweet, smokey, spicy dish that wasn't overly hot. I make mine in the crock pot. It has become a staple in my house that I make once a month. We turn ours into burritos. Will continue to make over and over again.

I've tried this recipe twice. the first time the dish, even with an entire can of the chipotle peppers was pretty bland except for the heat from the peppers. The second time I added a couple of bay leaves and some thyme and it made all the difference. The meat was very tender both times but the second time, the added herbs gave it a hit of flavor otherwise missing from my first attempt.

This recipe turned out really good! Moist and delicious. I had a smaller piece of meat so I made some modifications: 2T of brown sugar; 2 small cans of soda; smaller can of chipotle. And, because I had to work, I put this all in the crockpot on low for 10 hours... It just fell apart!
