Absolutely delicious! I LOVED the sauce! People usually ruin pulled pork with cloyingly sweet sauce, but this had a punch and the perfect level of sugar in it. I'll keep this recipe for a longggg time!

Made this in the crock pot and it was fabulous. Hubby and the kids raved. I did not use the whole can of chipotle cause we are whimps and I threw in a couple cloves of garlic. I will use more chipotle next time because it was not as spicy as I was afraid of, maybe because of the low and slow cooking. Definitely a keeper!

Spicy deliciousness! We used root beer and it was amazing. After we removed the meat, we used a stick blender to make a smooth sauce. We froze half for later use. So easy and over the top flavor! We love you, Ree and all of your recipes!

Way too spicy! Never cooked with chipotle peppers before. My kids like spicy food but this was too much. The dish would be good if only used a 1/2 or even a 1/4 of the can, very difficult to enjoy.

Loved it! I used a 3 1/2 lb pork shoulder and 3/4 of a 7 oz. can of chipotle peppers and let it cook 7 hours in the slow cooker. It was just the perfect amount of spice! My husband looked completely puzzled when he saw me pouring in the can of Dr. Pepper but I have actually seen pork recipes with soda pop before. It was delicious, leftovers for us both today! I will definitely be making this again.

I used a 6 lb. pork butt and all of the ingredients as listed, except for the chipotles - I chose a 7 oz. can. About an hour into the roasting, I got nervous about the heat... I ADORE heat but my guy - not so much... so I removed about half the peppers. The result was so tender, flavorful and delicious. Even still, it was pretty spicy. However, before putting the leftovers away, I removed all the peppers from the pot and by the time I tried it today, the complexity of sweet and smokey had really developed overnight and balanced the heat in such an amazing way. It needs no additional sauce and is some of the best pulled pork I've ever had, much less made myself. Will absolutely make again (and again...

I fixed the Spicy Pop Pulled Pork for supper tonight. And I must say WOW that was awesome. I used 2 12oz can's of Dr. Pepper and followed the recipe to the letter and it was out of this world.
I am looking forward to making more of Ree's recipes. If anyone ever complains about it being to spice I would tell them don't use a HUGE can of the chilies then.
