This is a terrific recipe! My neighbor and I watched the episode that featured Spicy Pop Pulled Pork and, when we both said "Yum!" as Ree served it, decided to give it a go. I put it on to braise in the crockpot yesterday morning, and we had it for dinner that night. We liked it a lot then, and tonight we had more of it, this time on buns with a little added barbecue sauce, and we found that the flavors had all blended gorgeously after the pork sat in the refrigerator for a day. The chipotles, at least for us (both native Texans, just gave it a nice burn without in any way being overwhelming.

I love spicy, but the smell of this cooking made my eyes water. When I took the lid off the pot, I started coughing from the overwhelming spice in the pot. There is no conceivable way a child could ever eat this. I took 1/4 cup of the cooking liquid and 2 more cans of Dr. Pepper and reduced it to make an edible "spicy pop" sauce. Technique was good, just too much chipotle!

Yikes! We don't generally eat really spicy food, but this looked interesting. So I used less than half of the 7 oz can of chipotle in adobo. Thank God I used it sparingly. With just that little the dish was still incendiary! I may try it again without the chipotles so I can actually taste what the soda and other seasonings do for the pork.

Outstanding and so easy! My family loved it. This will be my "go to" recipe for pulled pork. My husband is an avid barbeque smoker. He used to always smoke a butt or two for our Memorial Day cookout every year. He told me this was so good, he wasn't going to bother any more! Now he can sleep in instead of getting up at 4am to cook! Thanks Ree!

I bought a LARGE 9 lb roast and only used 2 peppers and some of the sauce. I had never used that type of pepper before so I tasted out of the can WOWOWOWOWOW HOT so be very careful. The pork was cooked in the crock pot on high for 10 hours. It is WONDERFUL. Enough heat to kick you in the back of the throat but not hot to kill ya

Whoa! Call the fire dept.! Too spicy for me. I removed the pork, shredded it and kept it separate. Served the sauce and served it separate after adding ketchup and more br.sugar. I thought it had a good flavor, just too hot for me. Ree, I don't know how your kids ate it. I have tried several of your recipes and have loved them all.

This recipe is excellent! I cooked in the dutch oven for 6 hours and it was falling apart, tender and juicy.

I used coke instead of Dr. Pepper and I also had a smaller can of chipotle peppers in adobo. I think the spice is just the right amount but it was too spicy for my kids.

This will certainly be a must make at bbq's.

    Thanks Ree!

We made this with orange Fanta and it is amazing! Easy, delicious, and made the house smell great while it was cooking. Thanks for the fool-proof recipe!

Just had this for dinner tonight and it's our new favorite! I don't have a Dutch oven, so I prepared it in the crock pot set on Low 10 hours and it worked perfectly. My chipotle cans were 7 oz. so I put in two cans. Everyone announced that they'd be just fine having for dinner again tomorrow, YEAH! Delicious!!!
