Absolutely deeelish! I did everything to the "T" except I slow cooked my roast in the crock pot for 8 hours. Came out WONDERFUL! It is REALLY SPICY and my kiddos don't like real spicy stuff. But my husband and I really enjoy it!!! Now I'm waiting for the Potatoes Au Gratin to get done. :- YUMMY!

Said I would not be making anything on foodnetwork for a while, but watched your show yesterday, sent hubby out for a pork butt, he came home with about a 1 1/2 butt roast, i added the onion, garlic little to much brown sugar, instead i added green chillies, red wine and chicken stock, cooked 6 hours and it was amazing, I would like to make this again but will cut down on the sugar, not sure about the chipolte peppers......i enjoyed the tenderness of the meat, will put it on a sandwich for lunch tomorrow with some type of cheese titorisiSaod

I LOVED this. I did not cook in the oven though. I put it in a crock pot. I use a crock pot a lot and this was great! I did the whole meal to include the perfect potato, slaw and pie. Found a new show to watch, very down to earth and something an everyday JOE would fix. Soem of the dishes on TV are out there not for every day. This was perfect!!

I also saw the recipe on the show yesterday. We don't drink sodas in my house so I use a big bottle of Guiness instead. I figured the Guiness took the place of the sugar and the soda. The chipotle peppers were great. I found some sturdy bread and piled the meat and the coleslaw together. Big hit at my house.

Saw this recipe on your show yesterday and immediately went to the store to get the ingredients. I did not have a pork roast as large as the one Ree used so I only used a 7 oz. can of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. Glad I did. I love spicy food but found this to be a little hot. Funny thing was some of the meat would be very hot and some was not. I turned the roast about 4 times so I was surprised the taste would differ. All around, great recipe. Love your show.

I used abut 2/3 of a 7 oz can of peppers and it turned out great. I also served the juice on the side for the kids, but the sauce is really what makes it phenomenal. A true crowd pleaser and we'll certainly have this again.

I saw this recipe on Pioneer Woman yesterday, and it was an instant crowd pleaser! Between this and the Potatoes Au Gratin, there were some very happy stomachs. =
What I like most about this dish is it's pulled pork that doesn't really need any added sauce for moisture. I've never thought to shred the port and put it back into the juices, but that did two things; It kept it extremely juicy, and it introduced all of those spicy/sweet flavors right into the dish. Next time, i'm going to try it without putting it back into the sauce to see how different it is, but these flavors are great! The spicy/sweet is a great treat for pulled pork. I quickly have a new favorite show, because these recipes are easy and delicious!

I substituted beef chuck roast for the pork and used coke instead of Dr. Pepper. I also removed the peppers after cooking as the heat was sufficiently hot and used my immersion blender to emulsify the liquid and the onions. Then added the beef back into the pan and it was delicious. I served on onion rolls, toasted with melted gouda. It was enjoyed by all.

Saw the show yesterday morning and went right out to get the ingredients. It was great!! Easy and tasty. And the pork was so tender. We all enjoyed it. But our little dog was doing rollovers without being asked just so he could get a bite! Thanks for the recipe. I removed the peppers and onion after it cooked. This wasn't too spicy for us. Wouldn't change a thing.

My experienced mirror the reviews below. Saw the episode and thought it would be perfect meal for watching the football playoffs. Recipe was easy and straight forward. The only thing I'll change is reduce or swap out the chipotles. I can see how this would be great for a bunch of cowboys coming in from the range, but it was a bit spicy for the mrs and we enjoy spicy food. It didn't help that her first bit of the pork had a whole pepper mixed in. I'm enjoying the left overs as I write this on some corn tortillas right now. Easy, tender, just a bit spicy. Next time I'm going to try it with one of those jars of banana peppers in juice. Still provide some spice with that nice sour twang from that juice.
