I have to say that I use so many recipes from Food Network, in fact, I watch all of the shows and plan my weekly menu!
I love Ree and have done many of her recipes, but this one really has me stumped!
I tried everything to make a perfect tater tot, they fell apart, burned, were mushy, and not successful. I had perfectly formed, cooled tots, and then they did not stay firm to get golden. I tried less oil, less heat, and only came out with a few that were passable. I wish she told us about how much oil, what temperature to fry, etc. I was hoping to really use this one! A big problem for me.

Not Sure what I did wrong but the kept falling apart once in the oil. I tried a couple of different ways and every time they fell apart.

This is a great recipe for the kids, I also like to change it up a bit for adult tastes. I mince up half an onion and add to the mixture, also some minced parsley. The best part is you can add any type of spice or other ingrdients you like, very versatile recipe!! Always keep some in the freezer for overnight visits from friends and family!!
