These were ok. I added a little crushed red pepper for more taste. My family liked them. I'll make them again from time to time for a change.

These green beans certainly live up to their name!! They were amazing. In fact, it's been less than a week since I had them and I am already making them again tomorrow. The best part is that they are so easy to make that I probably will only use this recipe from here on out when making green beans!

I cooked this dish last night and wish I could give it a higher rating. My husband is very picky about eating vegetables and he had seconds of these. I was amazed! Thank you Ree!

Wow! The recipe name says it all. My husband and I couldn't stop gushing about how good this is. He called it green bean candy. I didn't think anything could beat the green bean casserole which I only make once a year anyway and this I would make all year long and of course is healthier too. I have been wishing for a tasty fresh green bean recipe for years and had I known how delish this was I could have stop wishing long before now. I can't wait to try it on my adult daughters when they come home to visit. They don't really like green beans and hopefully this will convert them.

Not a green bean fan, don't even like my Mom's green beans. So, I was skeptical of this one, but I tried it and I LOVED it. I went back for seconds!! That never happens. I only eat green beans because I know they are good for me, believe me --they get kicked around the plate a few times. But these were the Best Green Beans I have ever had - great title by the way. :

I'm no longer skeptical. I thought there was little you could do with green beans to make them excellent instead of just good. This recipe does it. I used 2 half-pound bags of whole "steamable" FRESH green beans -- the kind you get in the produce section already cleaned. I even made them in advance and reheated them without them gettying mushy. If you like your green beans somewhat crispy, cut the cooking time down. I prefer mine NOT crispy, so this was perfect. Way to go, Ree!

Flavor was good, but the beans were overcooked for my family. My duaghter asked if they were from a can :(. It could be that I like mine really crisp.

You are so right- these beans are great! I made these for Easter dinner and everyone loved them. They're a great replacement for the beans with mushroom soup recipe that I used to make- a new addition to holiday dinners!
