This soup is amazing!!!!! I didn't add the beans because I'm don't like them but everything else worked together amazingly. And the avocado MADE the soup. It added this creaminess and amazing flavor. I'll be saving this recipe and making it again.

I have to admit, I was a little skeptic about the recipe while I was making it.... However it turned out AMAZING!! I added more chicken because I like the extra protein and would maybe stick to 1 large lime and extra jalapenos( just because I like a LOT of spice. However, it turned out pretty amazing just how it is... I agree with the previous post, do NOT skip out on the cilantro or lime!! They really do take it to a restaurant level!!!

So amazing! The only thing I did different was added a can of corn and sour cream.

This is the best Tortilla soup that I have made. I did add some frozen corn for a little addition and my family loved it. Have made it many times and will make it MANY more!

I loved this recipe! I have had many different types of tortilla soup from restaurants and homemade...but I have to say this is one of my favorites! There were a couple of small changes to the recipe. I used a little less garlic (about half and juice from half a lime and it was great! I also used a roasted chicken from the grocery store to save some time and garnished with fried corn tortilla strips instead of the grilled flour tortilla. The fire roasted diced tomato gave the soup a great flavor. Great recipe Danny!!

I agree with all previous positive comments. You can skip the avacado. Do NOT skip the fresh cilantro or lime; it takes the soup to the next level!

This is the best chicken tortilla soup recipe I've used ever! Very easy to make and very common ingredients. Soup is very brothy, which is how I prefer it not thick. I love the flavor of the roasted canned tomatoes without the hassle of having to roast them yourself. I added a couple more jalapenos for some added spice.
