I made this chicken for my husband's birthday. It was great. Even my kids liked it. I used smokey paprika instead of paprika. I didn't have lemons, but I will try this again with lemons.

Is this written recipe missing something that was possibly shown on one of Food Network's TV shows? I followed this recipe to a "T" and my family found the mayonnaise mixture to be nothing more than an obstacle to a decently cooked chicken breast. Even after mixing it together I tasted it before putting it on the chicken. I thought, "I hope this tastes better after cooking and blending with the chicken". No luck, though. My kids scraped it off and dabbed the chicken in a store-bought barbecue sauce to make it palatable, but I continued eating the chicken as is, thinking I was finally going to "get it" after the next bite. That never happened either. It needed some sweetness or something, and the celery seed overpowered everything else. I do most of the cooking for my family and my kids usually really dig what I make, but I struck out on this one. Sorry kids!

This recipe is so good. It was very easy and I would absolutly make it again. The only thing I changed was I used zest of one lemon and one tsp of lemon juice. Very flavorful and moist. Thanks

This turned out very well! The only thing I will change next time is the amount of salt that I will use in the sauce which will be 1/2 tsp. rather than 1 tsp., it was a little too salty The chicken was wonderfully juicy, tender and tasty. I recommend this recipe for the ease of preparation as well as the flavor.

I was looking for something simple and quick and hopefully really delicious. I certanily found it in this recipe. I did substitute lemon juice for the zest and celery salt for celery seeds because thats what I had on hand. I also let the chicken breasts sit in the sauce for about an hour before I cooked them. My daughter said "could you have made a more AMAZING supper tonight?! That was better ttan the $17.00 chicken I had at that fancy resturant." So thank you very much for the wonderful recipe that got me complimented! :

I made the recipe exactly and it was awesome! Can't say it was the healthiest, but it was really good. Thank you for a new chicken recipe!

This is my first comment E-V-E-R!!!
The first time used this marinade, I didn't use it on Chicken Breast! I used it on Salmon! It kept my salmon moist and created a great crust on the outside. I have used it multiple times and adapted from the beginning to my families taste using fresh and dried herbs!
Also, I am 36 yrs old, my husband says when I pass away, he's going to marry you! I told him if he could afford a rock like you have on your finger, I would never die!!!
    We love you, Paula!

I noted the comments about the salt and celery seed and used less. I omitted the paprika and added some sun dried tomatoes chopped fine (because I had them. Also had to use lemon juice. It was still really good. Next time I will marinate the chicken in the sauce before cooking. If done on the grill, will the sauce burn? I think this would also be good on fish.
