I just made this recipe for my family's sunday dessert, and I must say I will toot my horn a lil bit! Lol, but easy instructions to follow and I will definitely make this pie again!!!

After reading the reviews I still decided to try this recipe. Mistake. Two pounds of Grannie apples was about half enough. The amount of crumbs called for was way to much. Baking time was not enough to brown topping. Definitely will not make again.

Delicious! Next time I think I will add a more butter and sugar to the filling just to make a little more juice. But overall it was great! The crumble top did take a little longer to brown, about 30 minutes.

This recipe was delicious and very easy!! It took my crumb crust longer than 15 minutes to really get "crusty," but once it did, it was perfect. Served this to guests and they all raved. Definitely will make this again. Thanks, Robert Irvine!

Pan_321 the Apple pie is a good recipe. You must have done something wrong. Mine came out moist and the crust was great. Did the crust both with the crumb topping and with a crust.

Where's the juice?? Was very dry and took forever for the crumbled topping to finalize. Not happy with this recipe at all.

Regarding Roberts Apple Pie on the show. I agree that he made it with a top crust and not a crumbly topping. The pie on the show was what I was looking for on County fare episode. Toni

I was watching the show and that recipe they put up is not how he did it on the show. He put a top crust on the pie not a crumb crust.
